Nguyen Hong Son believes that painting the same style can be boring not only for him but his followers, so he is constantly researching for new ideas which represent everyday rural life in Vietnam. These images catch the moment where the people are working hard in their fields yet they are also enjoying themselves when there is a festive occasion. He uses many different techniques but prefers to paint cubism and abstract, and is forever striving to express his true feelings and emotions in his work. He has been quoted in saying “I will continue to paint until I can no longer hold a brush.”
